Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist currently competing in the flyweight division in the UFC. Valentina is her elder sister and a fellow UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko began her fight sports journey as a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and beat Suzane Miller at the end of the tournament by an the unanimous vote. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007, a medal of bronze in 2008 and a medal with gold in 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia's professional debut came in 2003. She won in 2012 the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. The victory was achieved by an unanimous decision. Antonina shevchenko won her debut professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She went 3-0, after winning the second-round TKO. Her next two bouts were won by WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko took a break from MMA in order to concentrate on boxing. She made her comeback against Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko won against Anissa in a unanimously-decided match after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina utilized her fighting techniques in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body. Antonina Shevchenko received the UFC contract after the victory.
